Either way Y 12 is very much about the experimental process, something akin to your approach to GCSE in Year 10 so do not worry if this seems a little daunting at first. For some this will be within your comfort zone, for others it may be something a little different. This will enable us to bridge the gap between digital portraiture and more traditionally painted portraiture. For the first term you will be required to create a digital portrait followed by an acrylic painting. You may or may not have come across him in your GCSE studies.
Vector being the natural choice for such a colourful, geometric style using Illustrator to create his portraits. Wedha, originally from Indonesia, created his art work in traditional mediums early in the 1990 s, which later in early 2000, crossed over into the digital world. For our first project we will be looking at an artist called Wedha Abdul Rasyid. INTRODUCTION In Year 12 you will be working with both members of staff in the department (Mr Wise and Mr Wyvill) throughout the course of the year, playing towards each other’s strengths in the field of Art and Design.
